I graduated from the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage, located in Austin, Texas. There, I completed the Swedish Massage program, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Release Therapy, and the Chair Massage certification courses. I am currently holding a Texas State Health Department Massage Therapy license and am insured via Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals Association (ABMP).

I am a mom of teenagers and have decided to operate my part-time practice from my Round Rock, TX, home which allows me to be close to my kids as well as do what I enjoy doing.  (See picture of the therapy room I transformed from an extra room.)

In order to keep me from getting into session ruts and to remind me of what it's like to be on the table, I try to receive regular massage sessions too.  Having different therapists work on me opens my mind and practice to different approaches or modalities.  I also strive to attend continuing education classes -- more than what the State of Texas requires.  This keeps me in shape (so to speak) and I can pass the knowledge to my clients.  Working part-time at a chiropractor's office has also sharpened my skills and given me an incredible educational experience in that I have the opportunity to apply my favorite technique (Trigger Point Release) to help clients in acute pain.

There are two things I try to keep different from other massage establishments.  The first is that I believe that massage therapy should be affordable to everyone.  The second is to be able to take that affordable massage therapy and make it a custom fit for everyone that gets on my table.  Fortunately for me (and for my clients), working from home has afforded me the low overhead required to keep my rates low.  When I say that I will customize the session per a client's needs on that day, I certainly mean it.  Everyone's needs are different and even those needs change from day-to-day or even hour-to-hour.
